LawLinks is a Program of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University. LawLinks provides education and referrals for short two-hour consultations or referrals for pro-bono or low-cost legal services. The Bayer Center provides management education, consultation, research and advice to nonprofit organizations.
LawLinks is a program of the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University-Downtown that provides referrals for legal assistance to small non-profit organizations primarily in Allegheny County. Lawyers provide short consultations in the areas of taxation, labor and human resources, corporate issues, bylaws, incorporation, 1023 review, real estate & property, intellectual property, fundraising, etc. LawLinks also provides education classes through the Bayer Center’s course offerings.
LawLinks lawyers provides referral services for a short consultation clinic (maximum 2-hours) or referrals for pro-bono or low-cost assistance. LawLinks lawyers also provide occasional trainings at the Bayer Center’s Fall and Spring course offerings.
To access a LawLinks referral, register for an Ask-an-Attorney clinic at www.rmu.edu/bcnmregistration You will be sent a short application detailing your specific area of nonprofit legal assistance requested. Once we understand your needs, we will refer your request to an appropriate LawLinks lawyer.
Services are being developed for organizations in surrounding counties. For mid-sized organizations under $5 million call the program coordinator for referrals for low-cost service.
