Veterans Pro Bono Practicum

A faculty-supervised legal assistance clinic of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law

The University of Pittsburgh School of Law Veterans Practicum is available to help veterans submit fully developed claims that can be expedited through the approval process for VA benefits. Students and supervising attorneys will assist with claims still pending at the Regional Office level and help veterans develop and submit documentation needed to meet the three part test for compensation benefits. The practicum is also available to assist with other claims for VA pension benefits, including aid and attendance payments. The practicum can assist former service members who need to have their military discharges upgraded to access the full range of benefits available to veterans. All practicum services are provided free of charge to the veteran.

Veterans can reach the practicum at 412-648-1285 and leave a message. An attorney will return their call within 24 hours.
