Provides advice and representation to emerging and small arts organizations and low-income individual artists in the following areas: incorporation, by-laws and 501(c) (3) status filings, entertainment contracts, immigration law, trademark, copyright and other intellectual property issues.

Client eligibility: | Clients must fall within 250% of the federal poverty guidelines or be an arts organization with operation revenue below $1 million. |

Current needs: | Licensed attorneys (Note: some cases are outside of Allegheny County and would not qualify for the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s malpractice insurance coverage. Cases within Allegheny County would still qualify for malpractice insurance coverage.) |
Time required: | Varies depending upon the type of case. |
Training: | An overview session on Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts is offered. CLEs are periodically offered in collaboration with the Art & Law Committee of the ACBA |
