The Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation will celebrate National Pro Bono Week with a variety of events in October and November. Pro Bono Week is an opportunity to thank volunteers, recognize the life-changing work that pro bono attorneys perform on behalf of clients with low incomes and recruit and train additional volunteers. The judges of the Housing Court of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas invite attorneys who have volunteered for the Landlord/Tenant Mediation Project to a reception to celebrate their contributions to residents of Allegheny County facing eviction.

This clinic is a project of the University of Pittsburgh Black Law Students Association in partnership with the ACBA Homer S. Brown Division and the Pro Bono Center of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. It is named in honor of Derrick A. Bell, a Pittsburgh native and graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
