Current needs: | NLSA and the PFA Project have an ongoing need for new volunteers. The project is open to attorneys from both Partnership member organizations and individual practitioners. |
Time required: | 1/2 hour to one hour preparation per PFA case; 9:00 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m. at court on date of hearing (length of time in court varies depending on whether a case resolves through negotiation or a hearing.) |
Training: | NLSA conducts two free CLEs annually; training materials available; shadowing and mentoring |

The Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership has its own Protection from Abuse team administered by Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC which receives assignments from Neighborhood Legal Services Association. The Partnership team volunteers for the first Thursday of the month (volunteers can sign up for as many or as few months as they choose.) Interested attorneys employed by participating Partnership firms should contact their respective Pro Bono Coordinators or Managing Partners for more information.
